Our Founders

About Hanson Li

Born in Hong Kong, grew up in Asia and cold Rochester NY, Hanson founded Salt Partners, a F&B conglomerate in 2014.  Prior to Salt, he spent 10 years as Managing Director at The Hina Group, a China focused private equity firm and investment bank.  He graduated from Stanford Graduate School of Business as a Siebel Scholar (awarded to top 5 graduates) and Arjay Miller Scholar.  He also holds a BA and MA from Stanford.  He currently sits on the board of Golden Gate Restaurant Association, Center for Asian America Media, and the advisory board of OpenTable.

About Tiffany Yam

Born in Pittsburgh, grew up in her parents’ Chinese restaurant, Tiffany pursued a career in investment banking and private equity in NYC and SF after graduating with a computer science degree from Duke University.  She joined Hanson in 2015 at Salt and was recognized by Forbes 30 under 30 for Food and Beverage in 2017.
